Winter Storm Warning

... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 10 am PST Saturday...

* timing... periods of snow through Saturday morning with heaviest
snow and gusty winds Friday through Saturday morning.

* Locations... Lassen park... Interstate 80 over Donner Pass...
Highway 50 over Echo Summit... Highway 88 over Carson Pass.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 feet of snow above 4000 feet with up
to 4 feet at the higher elevations.

* Main impact... slippery snow covered roads with chain controls
likely. White out conditions at times with gusty winds
especially Friday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and
water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.






Flood Warning
Issued: 7:24 PM PST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River at Tehama bridge.
* At 7:00 PM Thursday the stage was 213.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to recede to near 211.0 ft early tomorrow morning then
expected to rise above flood stage of 213.0 ft near tomorrow noon
then forecast to rise to near 214.5 ft tomorrow evening with
continued rise expected.
* Flood stage 213.0 ft
* monitor stage 210.0 ft
* impact... near 214.0 feet, between two hundred thirteen and two
hundred fourteen feet the County park becomes inaccessible. At two
hundred forteen feet water begins to enter Driftwood RV fishing
resort on East Bank of river and just north of the County park.
* Impact... near 213.0 feet, flood stage - Road inside trailer park and
turn around site under rr tracks (tehama/Vina road) become
impassible. Water is into area around structures on east side of
river. No structural damage. Sheriff's office issues advisory.
Makes sure pelhams Bay, Snug Harbor, river inn (small trailer Parks
all in a row on east side of River North of bridge) know of
advisory.
* Impact... near 210.0 feet, water into RV park on east side of river.
Tires of trailers get wet.
