High Wind Warning
Issued: 10:01 AM EST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... High Wind Warning remains in effect from 9 am Monday to 6 am
EST Tuesday...

... Dense fog advisory is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Taunton has cancelled the dense
fog advisory.

* Location... Cape Cod... Marthas Vineyard... Nantucket... and Block

* Winds... east 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* Impacts... strong east winds will be capable of Downing trees
and power lines Monday into early Tuesday morning. The winds may
also cause property damage.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are
expected for at least one hour... with gusts of 58 mph or greater
at any time. Damage to trees... power lines... and property are
possible with winds of this magnitude. Power outages are likely.
Take action to secure loose outdoor objects.

Storm Warning
Issued: 3:08 AM EST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Storm Warning now in effect from 1 PM Monday to 3 am EST

* winds and seas... east winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 55
kt. Seas 5 to 8 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Storm Warning means winds of 48 to 63 knots are imminent or
occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in port... or take
shelter until winds and waves subside. Commercial vessels should
prepare for very strong winds and dangerous sea conditions... and
consider remaining in port or taking shelter in port until winds
and waves subside.
