A low pressure system will move south of Japan on Wednesday. This system will spread moderate to heavy rainfall just south of the country, but will bring widespread scattered showers to most of Japan. Tokyo will see partly cloudy skies with a high near 71(F)/ 22(C).

Over China, high pressure will dominate most of the country on Wednesday. This will allow for warm air to move into the region, thus, expect warm temperatures with mostly sunny skies to extend from Shanghai to Beijing as well as the inland areas. Beijing and Shanghai will see a mostly sunny skies with a high in the mid-70s(F)/25(C).

To the south, a trough of low pressure will hover over the South China Sea. This may trigger coastal showers over southwestern China on Wednesday as it will bring much moisture into the region. Moderate to heavy showers are likely over Hai Phong and Laos. Hong Kong will be overcast with scattered showers and a high near 82(F)/ 28(C).

In Australia, a high pressure system will move eastward from the Great Australian Bight into New South Whales on Wednesday. A cold front associated with this system will trigger light showers just north of Sydney, but are expected to diminish throughout the day as the system moves east. High pressure over the continent will allow warm temperatures to persist. Sydney will see partly cloudy skies with a high near 64(F)/ 18(C). To the southeast, a trough with an associated cold front will move over New Zealand on Wednesday. Moderate to heavy showers and cool temperatures are expected throughout most of the day.
