More Usual October Weather Comin' Following Our First Two Shots

After today subsidence from high pressure currently anchored on the eastern seaboard will build southward. A barely identifiable trough is draped just north of Lake Okeechobee. With dewpoints in the 60's north and dewpoints in the sultry 70's south of the boundary(what's left of it). That high will come to our neck of the woods tomorrow and with breezy conditions, dry air will mix to the surface Tuesday through Friday. So expect another taste of Fall(mid-80's/mid-6...

Hate to be the courier of bad news but this weekend ain't gonna be too pretty. Yes the front will pass on Friday. But fizzle-out with the ULL with not much drying(southeast dewpoints will fall into the 60's as opposed to the 70's). At the same time, a surface high will move south from New England. Making for a cloudy, windy, drizzly weekend. Now for the good news! That same high will push that low southwest right on out of here. It in turn will dominate our weather p...

More Autumn Air On The Way For Christopher Colombus

A low pressure situated just offshore of Melbourne is attached to an old frontal boundary just north of the Bahama's. That low giving us scattered showers from wrap around moisture. Expect it to move east north east as a strong surface high builds down the eastern seaboard. Providing us with a stable marine air mass starting tonight into tomorrow. Yes, they'll be coastal showers but fairly comfortable humidity for north and central Florida. By Wednesday/Thursday t...

About that return of moisture over the weekend. Well, it now appears that low will be just to the east of us. If models continue with this trend, then we will have continued pleasant weather right on through early next week. Possible tropical(or subtropical) development may occur. But It'll only become a fish storm. update: the front expected to stall out over central Cuba will be blocked from returning northward by a strong ridge of high pressure this weekend into...

Another Autumn Shot!

Starting tomorrow a strong cold front should sweep through the state of Florida. Although daytime highs won't be much different. Much drier air will surge in. Lowering our dewpoints to the lower 40's(can't rule out bottoming out into the 30's). Consequently, Orlando's night time lows could drop as far as say around 60 degrees by Thursday/Friday morning. Wednesday through Saturday look superb! Get out and enjoy! Starting Saturday night/Sunday,a low should form from...
