As we approach the summer solstice the days are getting longer. For this weary pro shop employee, this can make for a long day at the golf course. It is almost 7:00 PM and I await two more carts before I can close up. I am craving some of those popcorn/cauliflower top summer thunderstorms, which, I hope they are just around the corner in the upcoming weeks. But, they will probably come when I'm not working and on vacation.

Beautiful Day At The Golf Course

Today was the second day of our Junior Golf program here at the Marion Military Institute Golf Course in Marion, Alabama. Once again the sunshine didn't fail us. One of the program directors told me last Tuesday that during the entire duration of the Junior Golf program (decades) that they have never been rained out a single time. The program runs every June on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 - 11.
