Well, Becky has an appointment to look at a house on 5 acres today. Small and I mean small chance we can swing it, but it would be nice if we could. One small area of Houston proper got rain yesterday and wouldn’t you know it, it was where I was working. Luckily for us, we were almost finished so the crew quickly tossed a tarp and all was fine. It did mean we lost 2 hours while we waited for the rain to stop and the roof to dry so the guys could safely walk on it ...

Oh they were the best of time they were the worst of times. Truthfully they were the stupidest of times. I'm talking about blog wars. I don't blame people for not liking other people. Hey, I don't like people and I can understand how certain people, whether they are good people or not, can rub you the wrong way. Guess what though? Deal with it. Ban and ignore are great buttons. Heck, make WunderYakuza get off his lazy duff and earn his pay (Who loves ya Yak?) Prote...

I said my peace....kind of seems like keeping it up is beating a dead horse (pun intended) time to move onto better things....but i really don't feel like posting a question so yesterdays news is todaysI know I know, what parent would allow their young children to have such wild hair? OK, Cassies's isn't that wild just a hint of red. I think she called it auburn. The boys dyed theirs and then went into the pool too soon so they're due for a re-dye job. Now as much a...

I received an email from my "adopted" mom yesterday showing their home as it was listed for sale and she informed me that it had sold and they are moving from Oakland to Gilroy. They bought the lot in '78, tore down the existing shack and built a new home. I had the pleasure of pounding a few nails and helping them build. Ma and Pa with the help of friends built the house without any outside contracted help. When I travel to California it is there that I always stay...

Well, celebrities continue to fall like rain. (A weather reference for the blog purists.) Billie Mays was the latest to leave us and I can only imagine he's talking to God about how he can make an infomercial about salvation and make a mint. I have to admit I am a fan of infomercials. I know they are as fake as can be, with actors representing the audience and reading script as testimonials, and product claims that can only be attributed to fairy tales. However, the...
