Thank God for some nice wet weather today. A great part of Texas is relieved from exceptional drought conditions. Still, there are areas around here in South Texas suffering exceptional and extreme drought conditions and water tables are low even where the surface looks green. I got .5 inch today and I am elated. Come on Ida, we'll take ya.

img src="" alt="" />WONDERFUL!!! We got about a half inch of rain today. I am ecstatic!! That may not seem like much to some folks, but considering our "official" year to date rainfall is at 4.99" against a normal average of 21.64" at this point annually, to get any rain at all is beyond being well and good. I will say Hallelujah and hallelujah again!! Some places right near to me have gotten some really good soaking rains of 4 and 5 inches and for them I am gla...

That big 'ol brown spot in South Texas that looks a lot like dried blood is where I'm at. We're behind by at least 20" of precipitation since January 1st. We continue to be in excessive, record breaking drought. Still no promising activity in the Atlantic. I'm getting as antsy to see a big storm in the tropics as the weather geeks in Doc Master's blog, but for a different reason altogether. At least we've finally seen a TD forming out there. I pray Texas will get ...

I got away from WU blogs for a while. Sometimes you just need to objectively inspect your priortities and make some adjustments. I found myself spendin a little too much time here instead of having my head in the game at work.Nah...that's all bullshit. I opened an account on Facebook and let that have my spare time. Hello, my name is mbailey and I'm a Farm Town addict. lolI need to post some recent pictures... after all, that's why I joined WU in the first place...

Well we've gotten a bit of relief by way of rain lately. I've gotten about 1.1 inches in the last week or so. we must have gotten three inches of lightning this morning alone along with the 1/2" of precipitation. Not enough to stave off the drought but at least enough to stop the die off of my landscaping. Debbie is somewhere over the Atlantic on her way home so that will help a lot too. She will be able to water tend to the plantings that are stressed before the...
