1. 5 minute buffers implemented with a minute rounding to the nearest five minute integer, then used as an index to a ring buffer, each bin summing the rain and wind speed
this allows a five minute baseline for calculating avg windspeed and total five minute rain.
Windspeed is reported as an average.
Rain is reported as a rate in inches per hour. Interesting. The rainTtl is a 24 hour total so you could watch the rain pile up. the Rate puts a spike on the WU graphic so shows periods of rain and an indicator of intensity in inches per hour... it amplifies the catch by a factor of 12 since there are 12 five minute bins per hour. We only look at the current bin.
pwsRain - we saw a single noise anomaly with 288 tips in the rain gage. Anyting over 10 is an error so pwsRain disregards such anomalies and reports zero, with a #error log note. Cause unknown. maybe an arduino glitch, ...
note: it occurred while I was messing with the "argentwx.service" ,,, could have been that. don't know. it was in the serial log ... could have been affected by messing with the service.
