Just thought I would post a followup to my live blogging from Irene last week. These are a few of the photos and videos I took today of the catastrophic flooding in my area. There were National Guard stationed at the entrance to the street, and a couple of evacuated locals having a barbecue. (2) A view of a gas station near ...

<font color="#FF0033"Hurricane IRENE<font color="#000000"Live Updates from North Caldwell, NJ#20: Sunday 3:00 PMWell, with the storm over, it's time to wrap up.I think in the end, a lot of this went better than expected. Wind is gusting up and down now. Much cooler air, and the humidity is lifting. Although, flooding is continuing in the communities around me, and will likely worsen until peaking tomorrow and Monday. Thanks for everyone following my updates, and sta...

A large burst of convection has developed near the center and maintained cold cloud tops. Impressive high rain rate banding was also noted in all directions. After starring at RGB, I'll agree with the Navy’s position at 14.4N, 51.1W. This location is within the southwestern quarter of the burst of convection, ...

The merger has resulted in a large amount of low level convergence between two air masses, and thus heaps of cold convection has developed to the north and east of the new center.
