I suppose this is a political question, but I'm not 100% positive. Why on earth is the National Weather Service (i.e., NOAA) asking for bullets?Specifically:LI 001, 16,000 rounds of ammunition for semiautomatic pistols to be factory-loaded .40 S&W caliber, 180-grain jacketed hollow point (JHP). No reloads may be used with these weapons. All service furnished ammunition for issued firearms will be U.S. factory production. Is this Fast & Furious, Part II, the Next Day, ...

As the good Dr. has indicated, we know a priori that all corporations lie because they are statutorily obligated to do so, and nothing short of sweeping corporate law reform can change their blackened hearts.By implication, then, we know that all non-corporate interests are obviously beyond reproach, and have only the common good at heart. We should trust them even when evidence suggests they aren't playing by the rules. It turns out the UN climate chief Rajendra K. ...

Claims of "doubter" perfidity, apparently, suffice as a kind of fig leaf for revelations emanating from the whistle-blown emails and source code from CRU, which show so-called disinterested "scientists" engaged in much the same Procrustean jiggering of data. The main argument I set forth in this and subsequent blogs on this topic is that scientific rese...

To those who believe that the "science" of global warming is established fact, and the data points to a clear and irrefutable correlation between CO2 and global temperatures, I recommend the following contrary view, appearing in today's American Thinker, by Girma Orssengo, MASc, Ph.D, entitled "CO2 driven Global Warming not supported by the data."As a student of political philosophy by training and a computer scientist by trade, I'm no expert in climatology. But nei...
