Just lately I've noticed that my webcam movies are not playing when I click on them. I just get a message that the movie is not loading. I also have the latest version of Flash installed. I've sent in a message to the support team so hopefully I'll be informed as to what is wrong. Anyone else having this issue?

Well I'm learning new things! I bought a heater for the rain collector on the weather station. It IS working. HOWEVER... when it snows and there is a strong wind, I don't think the rain collector is catching any snow. It just blows right by. Living in Saskatchewan where anything under 40 km/hour is considered "calm" I can't see this being too accurate. Any ideas??

I picked up a D-Link DCS-920 security camera and set it up to record the weather. It's been up and running for a week now and I'm still toying with the idea of weatherproofing it and setting it up outside. (I'm very limited to which direction I can point it right now..). The resolution is not that great off this camera but the file size is small and watching the time lapse movies of the days weather is a terrific bonus!

Well it's Oct. 12, 2012. I received the rain collector heater today and took advantage of the warm weather and installed it. I ran the wiring up through the roof to the weather station first. I wanted to get as much done before taking the station offline to minimize down time. As it turned out, I was able to install the heater unit while up on the roof so no down time. I did however add a full millimetre of rain during the process. (I have to figure out how to undo ...

Well, I installed my weather station, a Davis Vantage Pro 2, up on my roof on July 28th, 2012. I've been watching the results and really enjoying the learning curve. I have had to climb up and do a little maintenance a couple of times, (spiderwebs if you can believe that!), and decided I better add a blog to let you know when I alter the station.I've ordered a heater for the rain gauge and expect it will be here in a few days. I'll be taking the station down at that...
