Queen Mary excursion #10 - Convict Lake Getaway

On Friday, October 24th, hubby and I headed out on a quick 4 day excursion to the Mammoth Lakes area, most specifically, Convict Lake. The epitome of peacefulness today, Convict Lake got its name from an incident that was nothing but peaceful. In 1871, six inmates from a Nevada prison escaped there, and eventually battled their way out with a shootout, ultimately giving Convict Lake its name.
