This has been a very active summer for the northern tier and especially for the northeast,as the storm track has remained across the northern plains,Great Lakes and northeast.
Today is no exception.We had some heavy storms scattered around yesterday and today has started off with a severe storm moving through around 9 am edt with torrential rains and lots of lightning.Should clear out quickly and remain mostly cloudy for the rest of the mornin...

I'm gone a week and still the same weather pattern in place.
2 or 3 days of warm humid weather,then a cold frontal passage with lots of showers and thunderstorms,then a few days of dry weather and less humid,then the humidity increases and another frontal passage. This has been the story for most of the spring and so far the summer.
Don't seeing it change any time soon.

Back from my long holiday weekend. Weather for the most part was good,but a few wet periods.
Hurricane Arthur produced a wet Friday.Saturday and Sunday were dry days,then yesterday we got hit with several storms,the one around 6 pm was severe. I also had a severe storm last Thursday night which produce a lot of damage around the area,Waltham being one of the cities hit hard with numerous trees down and even a roof blew off an apartment building...

So July may come in with our first tropical system. Summer began on Saturday,but the weather has not felt like summer,with temps in the 70's,very dry air and morning temps in the 40's.The next couple of days will feel more like summer,but not heatwaves or 90 degree temps in sight.In fact it looks like we will finish June with a 90 degree day.I can't remember the last time that happened.
