Installed the SRS100 Solar Radiation Shield from Ambient Weather on Saturday, February 9th. This should greatly reduce the odd spikes in temperature readings if and when the sun comes out again.

First serious snow event on its way!

NWS (National Weather Service) just upped our forecast to 5-9 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow. The DWS (Donna Wishing Service) is calling for 2-4 feet. While the NWS forecast tends to be more accurate, I prefer to look at the DWS.

February 1st Winter Storm Report

So far we have dodged the bullet. Mostly rain, but the driveway is "crunchy" and there is a slight glaze of ice on the cars.

Woke up to find a moderate dusting. The grass is still clearly visible and the roads are clear. Down the hill, Harrison had a slightly heavier dusting, but patches of grass are still visible.
