The Texas State Capitol was designed in Italian Renaissance Style of local granite. Construction started in 1882 and was completed in 1888 labor provided by thousands of convicts and migrant workers.

Today was beautiful. Saw warblers, vireos, flycatcatchers, kinglets, herons, woodpeckers and an osprey.

Here are a few shots from the day. I like the white eyed vireo shot because it shows it's eye so well. They are easy to mix up with common yellow warblers.
