Good blizzards around here can have well-defined circulation, high winds, and/or thundersnow with them.

I know what needs to come in play for a powerful Wisconsin blizzard.

All that is avalible are those fancy, 200 dollar, radar programs. And I would just like to see basic vertical profile cuts until I can afford the software.

I think it would work just like the vertical cross section in Model Data. You make the cross section with two markers and view a 2D image of the cutaway.
