Something to worry about

I see in the forecast that there is a possibility of thunderstorms early next week. After last year's devastating wildfires, caused by an unusual thunderstorm in June, that forecast makes me a bit nervous. Of course it is a bit earlier this year, and has been a more normal spring so the forests are not quite so tinder-dry as last year. Something to keep an eye on - and a reminder for those of us living in rural areas to clear grass and brush away from our homes and ...

hot fun in the ... spring

Really warm weather over the weekend, we luckily had our first horseshow out in Ft Bragg and it was even "hot" out there, about 75 and no breeze. Here inland, it was a scorcher close to 100 degrees. Time to start watering the trees in the yard!
