Wednesday's storm brought a 10" snowfall total to my yard. At the height of accumulation I had one drift that came above my waist (my height is 6'1"), but some spots had only 4". This on top of our first season 3 inch snowfall. Very heavy rain persisted from 9PM through the night, that combined with temps over 40 that persisted through the day on Thursday melted about 2/3 of the snow on the ground. What's left of the snow around town: 1/3 of the area is drifts...

The road has disappeared after just 45 minutes of moderate snow. The wind is gusting now to near 30, and is expected to reach 60 mph later this evening going into tonight. The temperature rose to 32' around 1 PM, but has since dropped to 28'. This evening that is expected to rise and bring with it an icy mix, then rain. It is now snowing rather heavily, and Campobello Island, which is just a mere 0.3 mi. span has disappeared. The American side of the international b...

It would seem and feel as if winter were here...only 12 days officially, however, it has been very chilly. We are currently (2:53 p.m.) sitting at 29', which is also todays high. Some snow fell Saturday night, only accumulating about 4" in my yard being close to the ocean. A few miles out the road at a friends house however there's about 10". Yesterday the temperature rose to a whopping 32', and 31' the day before. Tomorrow afternoon is said to bring 4-8" of sno...
