Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 3:35 AM MST Feb. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight MST

* what... heavy snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel
conditions, including during the morning commute. Additional
snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up
to 12 inches, are expected. Snowy and Sierra Madre ranges
expected to see 12 to 15 inches of new snowfall.

* Where... Carbon County Wyoming and the northern Nebraska
Panhandle including the cities of Harrison and Chadron.

* When... until midnight.

* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause
areas of blowing and drifting snow. Cold wind chills as low as
20 below zero will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to
exposed skin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are occurring. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
