... Flash Flood Watch in effect from noon MDT today through this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Wyoming and north
central Wyoming, including the following areas, in central
Wyoming, Casper Mountain and Natrona County lower elevations.
In north central Wyoming, northeast Johnson County and
southeast Johnson County.

* From noon MDT today through this evening

* scattered thunderstorms that develop this afternoon and evening
may produce local rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches of rainfall
in a short period of time. This may cause area creeks and
streams to rise rapidly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
