Flood Warning
Issued: 10:55 AM CST Feb. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Pecatonica River at Martintown.
* At 8:00 am Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 18.6 feet by
tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
early Monday morning.
* Impact... at 18.5 feet... some homes in the Martintown area have
floodwaters in their basements and first floors. Martintown Road
and West River Road are flooded. Upstream in Browntown, Highway mm
and west indies Road are flooded. About 1 mile downstream in
Winslow, Illinois, Highway 73 is flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the sugar river at Brodhead.
* At 9:00 am Wednesday the stage was 9.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Impact... at 9.1 feet... this level is the 20 percent chance flood
meaning that there is a 20 percent chance in any given year of the
river reaching this level. There is widespread flooding of lowland
and agricultural land in the Brodhead area. Floodwaters cover roads
about 6 miles downstream in Avon township of Rock County. In the
Avon bottoms area of Rock County, there is flooding in sugar River
Park. Floodwaters are over Highway T in Rock County.

the sugar river at Albany.
* At 10:25 am Wednesday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Record flooding is occurring and record flooding is forecast.
* Impact... at 12.0 feet... floodwaters affect The Village Park in
Albany. Floodwaters cover Tin Can Road about 2 miles northwest of
Albany.

* At 10:00 PM Monday the stage was 12.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
* Forecast... flood stage may be reached by Friday morning.
