Flood Warning
Issued: 8:22 PM EST Jan. 19, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the great Pee Dee at Pee Dee.
* Until further notice.
* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 20.20 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will remain near 20.1 feet.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... flood waters will affect swamplands and logging
interests. Flood waters will affect Timberland as far downstream as Yauhannah
two weeks after the crest passes Pee Dee. Logging equipment needs to be moved.

am EST...

At 227 am EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Bennettsville to near New Hope. Movement
was northeast at 45 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Florence, Lumberton, Marion, Dillon, Mullins, Red Springs, Pembroke,
Fairmont, Maxton, McColl, St. Pauls, Latta, Rowland, Fair Bluff,
Quinby, Lake View, Clio, Sellers, Blue Brick and Rex.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Thunderstorms can pose a variety of threats including gusty winds,
small hail, cloud to ground lightning, and localized flooding. It is
recommended that you remain indoors until the storms pass.
