Winter Weather Advisory, Freeze Warning, Freeze Watch

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST
Monday...

* what... periods of snow showers expected. Additional snow
accumulations ranging from zero to 2 inches, with localized
higher amounts inches in the mountains, are expected.

* Where... Coos and Curry County coasts and coastal valleys to
include Coquille and Myrtle Point.

* When... until 10 am PST Monday. Snow showers will diminish
early in the morning, but some roads will be icy through the
morning hours.

* Additional details... even a quick burst of snow showers could
create slippery Road conditions. Be prepared for reduced
visibilities at times.

* Locations in the warning: many coastal areas including the
cities of Brookings, North Bend, Coos Bay and Reedsport.

* Locations in the watch: almost all of the southern Oregon
coast.

* Impacts... plants sensitive to freezing conditions can be
damaged or killed.

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

High Surf Advisory

... High surf advisory remains in effect until 4 am PST Monday...

* waves and surf... breakers up to 25 feet are expected.

* Timing... through Sunday night.

* Impacts... waves will run up much higher on the beaches than
normal. These waves will be powerful and can sweep people off
jetties and other exposed rocks. They can also easily move
large logs and other beach debris. Bar crossings and the surf
zone will be dangerous due to strong currents and breaking
waves
