... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday
afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of western Nebraska and Wyoming, including the
following areas, in western Nebraska, Box Butte, Dawes, North
Sioux, Scotts Bluff, and south Sioux. In Wyoming, Converse
County lower elevations, east Platte County, Goshen County,
and Niobrara County.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected today. Some of
these storms may contain very heavy rainfall on top of already
saturated ground. Localized rainfall amounts in excess of one
inch may lead to flash flooding. Additional thunderstorms are
possible again on Wednesday.



Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
