Issued: 4:33 PM CST Jan. 19, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Much colder air for southern Mississippi and southeast
Louisiana Sunday morning...

A strong cold front is moving through southern Mississippi and
southeast Louisiana late this afternoon. Much colder air is moving
into the area in the wake of the front. Temperatures that were

northwest of McComb and Baton Rouge. This much colder air will
continue to move across the area overnight on strong northwest
winds.

Overnight lows tonight will fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s
north and west of Lake Pontchartrain and over southern
Mississippi. Readings in the mid 30s are expected to south of the

High temperatures on Sunday will struggle to get out of the 40s.

People participating in outdoor activities tonight and Sunday
should be prepared for the much colder weather and dress
