Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 3:45 AM CST Feb. 17, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter impacts expected late tonight and Sunday...

Snow is expected to develop across eastern ND late tonight and
move east into MN during the day on Sunday. Snowfall of 3 to 6
inches is likely in a west to east band across the region. While
the possible location of the peak of the band varies from as far
south as Lisbon to Wadena and as far north as Grand Forks to Upper
Red Lake, the most likely area appears to be across the central
Red River valley and into the Bemidji and Park Rapids areas.
Again, 3 to 6 inches of snow is likely in this area, with over 6
inches possible in a narrow band. On the southern end of this area
of snow, freezing drizzle will be possible on Sunday. Currently,
the freezing drizzle risk area appears to be across far
southeastern ND and adjacent areas of MN. Also, gusty winds and
blowing snow are expected on Sunday afternoon, especially in the
Red River valley.

Motorists are advised to monitor local media and the NWS for
updates as confidence increases in the location of the weather-
related impacts.
