Winter Storm Warning

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM this evening
to 2 am EDT Thursday...

* what... heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to 12
inches, are expected. In addition, north to northeast winds
will gust 30 to 45 mph at times with potential for stronger
gusts near the coast.

* Where... portions of southern New Jersey, northeast Maryland
and central and southern Delaware.

* When... precipitation will be generally rain today into this
evening, though some mixing with sleet and freezing rain is
possible, especially in central Delaware and inland portions of
southern New Jersey. Precipitation will transition to snow late
tonight and Wednesday morning, becoming heavy at times Wednesday
afternoon and early evening. Snow will gradually taper off
Wednesday night.

* Additional details... plan on difficult travel conditions,
especially on Wednesday. Be prepared for significant reductions
in visibility at times. Power outages and tree damage may occur
owing to the weight of the snow.
