Coastal Flood Warning
Issued: 9:24 PM EDT Sep. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect until 6 am EDT
Thursday...

* locations... shoreline in St. Marys County.

* Tidal departure... around 1.5 to 2.0 feet above normal.

* Timing... around the time of high tide. High tide at Point
Lookout will be at 2:32 am, at Piney Point at 3:35 am and
Coltons Point at 4:11 am.

* Impacts... water is expected to cover roads on St. Georges
island, be in yards, and approach structures. To the east,
inundation is expected at multiple marinas off St. Mary's
River, Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. Shoreline inundation is
possible elsewhere.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.
