In Louisiana this cancels 7 parishes

In north central Louisiana

Caldwell Grant Jackson
La Salle Ouachita Winn

In northwest Louisiana

Natchitoches

This includes the cities of Clarks, Colfax, Columbia, Dry Prong,
Grayson, Jena, Jonesboro, midway, Monroe, Montgomery,
Natchitoches, Olla, and Winnfield.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Grant Parish in north central Louisiana...
Jackson Parish in north central Louisiana...
Natchitoches Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Bienville Parish in northwestern Louisiana...
Winn Parish in north central Louisiana...

* until 600 PM CST

* at 301 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain
have already fallen. Areas of flash flooding are expected to begin
shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Natchitoches, Winnfield, Jonesboro, Arcadia, Colfax, Ringgold,
Campti, Gibsland, Montgomery, Allen, Provencal, Natchez, Chatham,
Clarence, Hodge, Dry Prong, Goldonna, North Hodge, Tullos and
Dodson.

Additional rainfall amounts of two inches or more are possible in
the warned area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of north central
Louisiana and northwest Louisiana, including the following
areas, in north central Louisiana, Caldwell, Grant, Jackson,
La Salle, Ouachita, and Winn. In northwest Louisiana,
Natchitoches and Sabine.

* Through late tonight.

* Showers and thunderstorms containing locally heavy rainfall will
continue to shift northeast across northcentral Louisiana along
and ahead of a cold front that will drift slowly south across
the area before becoming stationary late this afternoon.
Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated higher amounts
up to 6 inches, will be possible across the watch area through
tonight.

* Flash flooding of roads, low lying, and poor drainage areas
will be possible. If you encounter flash flooding while
driving your vehicle, remember to turn around, don't drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
