The Flood Warning continues for
the Kentucky River at Heidelberg.
* From Thursday morning to late Thursday night.
* At 2:45 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage by late
Thursday morning and continue to rise to near 20.1 feet by early
Thursday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage by late
Thursday evening.
* At 20.0 feet... low lying areas flood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route. Turn around. Don't drown.
