The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Evansville
* until Saturday evening.
* At 9:00 PM Monday the stage was 44.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday early afternoon.
* Impact... at 45.0 feet... many County roads are flooded and some are
impassable.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at j.T. Myers dam
* until further notice.
* At 9:00 PM Monday the stage was 49.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 49.2 feet
by Wednesday morning.
* Impact... at 49.0 feet... the top of the protection is reached at j.T.
Myers lock and dam.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Mount Vernon
* until further notice.
* At 6:00 am Monday the stage was 46.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 45.7 feet
by Wednesday morning.
* Impact... at 45.0 feet... large portions of point township in Posey
County are flooded.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* Until Tuesday February 26.
* At 7:45 PM Monday the stage was 26.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... it will continue to fall to below flood stage by Tuesday
February 26.
* At 26.7 feet... Wilson Road, a north-south Road in Knox County near
the confluence of the white and Wabash rivers, is flooded in The
Little Rock area in 2 or 3 places. One location the water is too
deep for vehicles. Extensive agricultural flooding progress in
areas that are not protected by levees. Three Illinois township
roads south of Illinois 1 between Keensburg and Grayville are
flooded for a total of 10 miles. Access to oil fields in the
Keensburg and Grayville are blocked by high water.

the Wabash River at New Harmony.
* Until Thursday February 28.
* At 8:30 PM Monday the stage was 19.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Wednesday evening February 27.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... parts of northern New Harmony begin to flood
and sandbagging becomes necessary in town.

... Wintry precipitation possible late Tuesday and Tuesday
evening...

Precipitation will develop by the end of the day Tuesday and
increase Tuesday evening, starting as a light rain and wintry mix
across portions of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and
southwest Indiana. There may be a minor accumulation of wet snow
up to 1 inch in the evening on mainly grassy and elevated
surfaces. The precipitation should be all rain from midnight on
through daybreak Wednesday.

Travel impacts should be minimal Tuesday evening. However,
isolated slick spots cannot be ruled out completely should the
snow fall heavy enough.
