northern Kosciusko County in North Central Indiana...
Starke County in northwestern Indiana...

* Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain
was falling over the area. The heavy rain will cause flooding.
Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen since early Monday
morning.

* Numerous roads are closed due to high water within the warning
area. Nearly all streams... creeks and rivers are in flood or will
flood, some at record levels. Anyone living in a low lying area or
locations prone to flooding should move to higher ground if you
have not already done so. Be prepared for high water on roads and
do not attempt to drive through these areas. Find alternate routes
and stay on main roads if possible. Flooding is difficult to see
at night! Flood waters will be slow to recede and it may take
several days in some locations.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
