Coastal Hazard Statement
Issued: 5:21 PM GMT Dec. 9, 2018 – National Weather Service

... High risk of rip currents through Thursday night...

... High surf advisory is cancelled...

* along east facing reefs... the risk of rip currents will remain
high through Thursday night.

* Surf along east and north facing reefs has subsided below
hazardous levels this afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Strong rip currents are expected... especially near groins... jetties
and piers. If you have to swim out of a rip current... swim parallel
to shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to
swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly.
