continuing that will cause small stream flooding. Rapid rises will
result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of
rain has already fallen to the north and northeast of Fruita,

Colorado River and result in sudden rises of normally dry creeks and
washes.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas west of Fruita.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Reed Wash... Dry
Gulch... East Branch Reed Wash... little Salt Wash... adobe creek...
Layton wash... Big Salt Wash and Lipan wash.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
