The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a red flag
warning, which is in effect from 10 PM Saturday to 4 PM PST
Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Wind... areas of northeast to east winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts
30 to 40 mph. Local gusts up to 50 mph over remote ridges and
through favorably oriented canyons, especially the feather river
drainage including the Camp fire. Winds will gradually decrease
by Sunday afternoon.
* Humidity... minimum humidity 18-30 percent Sunday, with poor
overnight recoveries 28-40 percent Saturday night.
* Highest threat... Camp fire.
* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
