afternoon...

* timing... strong winds are occurring and expected to continue
through much of the afternoon. Winds will weaken as the cold
front crosses the area later this afternoon.

* Winds... southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 40 to 55 mph.
Strongest winds in the Little Colorado River valley.

* Impacts... winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. Localized blowing dust may
reduce visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph... or
gusts from 40 to 57 mph... are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.
Consider securing loose belongings on your property. Additional
